This book is a collection of myths about some of the Greek Gods. This book is narrated by Percy Jackson after the ‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians‘ and the ‘Heroes of Olympus‘ series. Other books by this author include the ‘Trials of Apollo‘ series, the ‘Nico Di Angelo Adventures‘, the ‘Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard‘ series (Norse mythology), ‘The Kane Chronicles‘ (Egyptian mythology), and many companion novels, including ‘Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes‘.
A brief summary…
“A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, and I was like, Can we do this anonymously? Because I don’t need the Olympians mad at me again. But if it helps you to know your Greek gods, and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week.”
In ‘Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods‘, the son of Poseidon adds his own magic–and sarcastic asides–to the classic tales of the Olympians. He explains how the world was created, then gives readers his personal take on a who’s who of ancients, from Apollo to Zeus.
“If you like horror shows, blood baths, lying, stealing, backstabbing, and cannibalism, then read on, because it definitely was a Golden Age for all that.”
To describe this book and why it was an amazing read, would be to spoil it for a potential reader. So, I will leave the descriptions simple and spoiler free.

I loved this book because it tells you more about the Greek gods from the main books, with bigger descriptions of previously heard stories and ones I had never heard. While providing lots of information, Percy’s narration makes it fun to read, ‘Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods’ isn’t necessary to understand the other books but I would definitely recommend reading it if you love myths, legends, and Percy Jackson.
“In the beginning. I wasn’t there.”
