‘Once Upon a Broken Heart’ Series – Stephanie Garber

This series is set in the same world as the author’s other series – the ‘Caraval‘ series. It even includes some of the previous characters! Like ‘Caraval‘, this series contains three books; ‘Once Upon a Broken Heart‘; ‘The Ballad of Never After‘; and ‘A Curse For True Love‘.

A Brief Summary of book 1

To describe these books and why they were amazing reads, would be to spoil their events for a potential reader. So, I will leave the descriptions simple and spoiler free.

My copies of the ‘Once Upon A Broken Heart’ series

I really enjoyed reading this series, I’ve tried to pick a favourite of the three, but they are all amazing, making the choice impossible. I loved that the events of the author’s other series (‘Caraval‘) were mentioned. The descriptions of the characters, their pasts, and their secrets, were incredible, I couldn’t put the books down! I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves the ‘Caraval‘ series as well as fates, heartbreak, and adventure.

“Like all admirers of fairytales, she’d always loved the scent of books. She loved the paper dust in the air, the way it swirled in the light like little sprinkles of magic. And most of all, she loved the way that fairytales always made her think of her mother and endless possibilities.”
