Places to go – Bradford Waterstones

I have visited the Waterstones in Bradford many times and not only does it have lots of books, the building has beautiful architecture. The building is a Grade I listed former wool exchange. It was constructed between 1864 and 1867 to be the hub of the city’s booming wool trade. When it was converted into a Waterstones bookstore in 1996, original features like the hammer-beam roof, the stained glass, and intricate carvings were preserved.

The beautiful ceiling.

I usually look in the Young Adult section which has a great selection to choose from.

The Young Adult books section.

The Bradford Waterstones also a café upstairs (Café W) that sells delicious cakes! In the entrance to Waterstones, there is display showing the books of the month. If you buy one of these books, you can get a free hot drink upstairs in the café.

Chocolate chip banana cake, green tea, mocha, and hot chocolate.

I enjoyed visiting this Waterstones Bookstore (and the café) and if you want to learn more about the bookshop, follow the link below to look at their Instagram…
