This series contains two books; ‘Blade of Secrets’ and ‘Master of Iron’.

A brief summary of book 1…
Ziva, a teenage blacksmith with social anxiety and the unique gift to craft weapons imbued with power, receives a commission from a powerful warlord. The result? A secret-stealing sword that cuts deeper than its length. A sword with the strength to topple Kingdoms. When Ziva learns of the warlord’s intentions to use the weapon to enslave all the world, she takes her sister and flees. Joined by a mercenary and a young scholar, they set out on a quest to keep the sword safe until they find a worthy wielder, or a way to destroy it entirely.

To describe these books and why they were amazing reads, would be to spoil their events for a potential reader. So, I will leave the descriptions simple and spoiler free.

I enjoyed reading the world Tricia Levenseller has created and the magic within it. I also loved the way the author showed Ziva’s fears and anxiety, as well as her overcoming them. I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who loves magic and adventure.
