Agatha Oddlow, a thirteen year old school girl, loves reading detective stories, she even has conversations with the imaginary Hercule Poirot. Her best friend is Liam Lau and together they solve mysteries.

In ‘The Secret Key’, Agatha finds a key and discovers something exciting behind the lock it opens (no plot spoilers here). All the water in London turns into red goo, can Agatha figure out why?

I enjoyed this book because my favourite types of stories are mysteries. Agatha is an amazing character to read! She is funny, smart, gets into trouble a lot and is a little bit odd. The Secret Key is a brilliant book because Agatha keeps information to herself and the reader only finds out when the villains of the story do!
