I have had the Ottoline books on my bookcase for a while but have never read them. During lockdown I have finished the first three! They are about a young girl called Ottoline and her best friend Mr Munroe (a special type of person, you’ll have to read to find out how). The two of them solve the mysteries in the city while their parents are off travelling the world.

The books in this series are:

• Ottoline and the Yellow Cat – can Ottoline and Mr Munroe catch the burglars and find the missing dogs?
• Ottoline goes to School – finally going to school, Ottoline and Mr Munroe have to solve the mystery of the school ghost.
• Ottoline at Sea – a search for Mr Munroe, who sails away to where Ottoline’s parents found him.
• Ottoline and the Purple Fox – I need to read this one.

I have really enjoyed these books because they were easy to read with lots of interesting illustrations (done by the author). The books are set in a magical time and Ottoline is an unusual and wonderful character. And Mr Munroe… well, you’ll have to read!
